As part of the launch of the Conference on Arab Youth Employment, Dr. Jad Chaaban, team leader of the UNDP Arab Human Development Report 2015, presented on the opportunities and challenges for effective youth economic empowerment in Arab countries. His presentation included a discussion on the social exclusion of youth in the Arab world and the causes of unemployment. He concluded by stressing the importance of civic participation.
