As part of the No Lost Generation Summit on Psychosocial Support Programming for Conflict, Dr. Yousef Shahin from UNRWA presented on the integration of Mental Health, Psychosocial Support and Protection into UNRWA's primary health care. He advocated for integrating mental health in the primary health care, based on the interrelation between mental and physical health and the existing treatment gap for mental disorders. UNRWA has developed a MHPSS strategy for its staff, midwives and practical nurses, staff nurses and medical officers and the strategy is also implemented in Syria.
