Highlights

As part of the No Lost Generation Summit on Psychosocial Support Programming for Conflict, the Life Skills and Citizenship Education (LSCE) initiative presented its conceptual and programmatic framework. The initiative aims to foster a knowledge society through improved education outcomes, to promote economic development through improved employment and entrepreneurship and to encourage social cohesion. The initiative focuses on soft, cognitive and non-cognitive skills, related to academic, individual and social life. Learning has four dimensions: active citizenship, learning, personal empowerment and employability and includes 12 core life skills. The speakers concluded their presentation by linking their initiative with psychosocial support.
