Highlights

As part of the No Lost Generation Summit on Psychosocial Support Programming for Conflict, Kenneth E. Miller, Heba Ghalyani, Ali Jawad, May Aoun and Mark Jordans presented on the caregiver support intervention of War Child Holland. The intervention aims to strengthen the wellbeing of conflicted-affected children through parental support. The presentation assesses the effectiveness and gaps of child-focused interventions and supports a mediational model which integrates the parent wellbeing. The caregiver support intervention's goal is to reduce parental stress and improve parenting capacity. War Child Holland also presented the key findings from this intervention, notably the effects of emotion regulation practices.
