Briefing on participatory action research: A dialogue with young researchers from the MENA region
No Lost Generation
The EU Delegation in Jordan organized a regional level briefing and discussion co-hosted by UNICEF’s Regional Office for the Middle East and North Africa on behalf of the No Lost Generation partnership, on 22 April 2019, at the Landmark hotel in Amman.
Funded by the EU Regional Trust Fund in Response to the Syrian Crisis (the “Madad” Fund), the Participatory Action Research project is a systematic adolescent and youth engagement initiative that aims to generate evidence with and for young people – particularly from vulnerable and marginalized backgrounds, to empower them to lead community-based research, and support them in becoming change makers/advocates on issues of concern to them.
This briefing focused on research produced by young people from Syria and Syria-crisis-affected countries, providing them a forum to share their main findings and advocate on the issues they have explored and prioritized for action in their communities.
